The Roshans: Netflix Docu-Series Explores a Bollywood Legacy

The trailer opens with Hrithik Roshan revealing the story behind their surname change from Nagrath to Roshan, inspired by his grandfather, Roshan Lal Nagrath. Legendary singer Asha Bhonsle reflects on the rarity of a family with four artists contributing to such a rich legacy. Celebrities like Anil Kapoor, Sonu Nigam, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Vicky Kaushal, Preity Zinta, and Priyanka Chopra share glowing tributes to the family’s talent.

Shah Rukh Khan likens Rajesh and Rakesh to the iconic duo Karan Arjun, while Ranbir Kapoor calls Hrithik “a phenomenon” for his meteoric rise following his debut 25 years ago. The series also touches on pivotal moments, including Rakesh Roshan’s shooting incident and Hrithik’s transformation from a shy introvert to a superstar. The Roshans premieres on Netflix on January 17.
