Pippi Pippi Dum Dum Dum from Kuberaa Lights Up Mumbai: Nagarjuna, Dhanush & Rashmika Set the Stage Ablaze

It was far from a lullaby — in fact, it was a full-blown celebration when the energetic beats of Kuberaa’s new track Pippi Pippi Dum Dum Dum roared through Mumbai. With star-studded glamour and palpable excitement, the event saw Nagarjuna, Dhanush, and Rashmika Mandanna light up the stage, making it a night to remember for fans and media alike.

In a surprising and much-welcomed move, the event began with not one but two back-to-back teaser screenings of Kuberaa. The crowd, unable to contain their enthusiasm, erupted in cheers and demanded an encore — and the film’s makers were happy to oblige. The raw, intense teaser was greeted with thunderous claps and whistles, setting the perfect tone for what was to come next.

And then it dropped — Pippi Pippi Dum Dum Dum. A fiery breakup anthem that flips a childhood rhyme on its head, the song is anything but gentle. It’s loud, bold, and full of chaotic soul, much like the world Kuberaa promises to show us.

Following the screening, the lead trio joined the media for an open and heartfelt interaction.

Veteran actor Nagarjuna, who rarely makes promotional appearances, was visibly emotional and reflective.

“I’m so deeply appreciative and grateful. This film is very, very special to me. It came at a time when I was wondering what to do next — I didn’t want to repeat the same roles. And then Sekhar Kamala, a filmmaker I had wanted to work with for 15 years, came to me. I didn’t even ask what the role was. I just said yes. His films are so rooted and real. I trust his vision completely.”

Dhanush, who usually lets his work speak for itself, shared some memorable moments from the shoot.

“Kuberaa is a very different and special film — very close to my heart. We shot in dumpyards and among garbage trucks — weird, yes, but unforgettable. Every bit of it taught me something. This team has been incredible, full of positivity. I don’t step out much for promotions, but this movie deserves it.”

Rashmika Mandanna added a delightful behind-the-scenes glimpse that left everyone smiling.

“We did a complete guerrilla-style shoot! Just running around with the camera, jumping into cars between shots. We didn’t even see the monitor! But Shekhar sir had a vision — and working with him was so fulfilling. We’ve all given our hearts to this film, and I truly hope you all feel that when you watch it.”

Backed by a strong production team — Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao of Sri Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations Pvt Ltd, along with Vipul Agarwal and Manish Vasisth as co-producers — the film is positioned for a strong pan-India reach. Mugafi presents the film in the North and also leads the distribution efforts across northern India.

Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Sekhar Kammula and with music by Devi Sri Prasad (DSP), Kuberaa stars Nagarjuna, Dhanush, and Rashmika in pivotal roles. The film will release in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam, extending its appeal across regions.

Mark your calendars — Kuberaa hits theatres worldwide on June 20, 2025.
